Kate was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and moved to Melbourne, Florida as a young child. She grew up riding horses on her family’s large property, lamenting the fact that she was always the shortest girl in her class. After her 15th birthday, Kate shot up to 5′ 10″ and was ecstatic.
