Zeta-Jones’ stage career began in childhood. She often performed at friends and family functions when she was younger. She was a part of a Catholic congregation’s performing troupe before she was 10. During this time Zeta-Jones made her professional acting debut when she played the lead in Annie, a production at Swansea’s Grand Theater. She also starred in a version of Bugsy Malone. Her character did her best to kill Billy Zane’s Phantom, while assisting villain Xander Drax (Treat Williams) in taking over the world with a weapon of doom. The following year, she starred in the CBS mini-series Titanic, which also starred Tim Curry and Peter Gallagher. Steven Spielberg, who noted her performance in the mini-series, recommended her to Martin Campbell, the director of The Mask of Zorro. Zeta-Jones subsequently landed a lead role in the film, alongside fellow Welsh compatriot Anthony Hopkins and Antonio Banderas. The following year she co-starred with Sean Connery in the film Entrapment, and alongside Liam Neeson and Lili Taylor in The Haunting. In 2000, she starred in Traffic with future husband Michael Douglas. Her performance earned her first Golden Globe nomination, as Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture. 

In 2003, Zeta-Jones won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Velma Kelly in the film Chicago. Chicago also won the Academy Award for Best Picture that year. On 22 October 2005, she referenced her award, as guest host on the television show Saturday Night Live, surrounded by four male dancers, mimicking the Bob Fosse-inspired Chicago-style dancing, suggesting in song that, no matter how bad she might be that night, “They Can’t Take My Oscar Away.” For her role in Chicago, she specifically requested a 1920s-style short bob wig, so her face could be seen and fans wouldn’t doubt she did all her dancing herself. 

In 2003, she voiced Marina in Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas opposite Brad Pitt, as well as starring in Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney. Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), better known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer-songwriter.

Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California USA. The middle child of two pastors, she grew up listening to gospel music and singing in church. After Steve Thomas and Jennifer Knapp signed Katy on their label Red Hill Records, she released her first CD as a Christian gospel CD in 2001 under the name Katy Hudson.

In her teenage years, Perry found a Queen record with her friend, “and the heavens opened and saved me. From then on, they have been my biggest influence.” In an article for Blender Magazine, Perry stated she wasn’t “a typical Christian”, mentioning that she had done “lots of bad things” during her adolescence.

At the age of 17, Perry began working with a legendary producer and songwriter. She has openly talked about her struggles with the music industry, such as being a solo artist vs. in a band, and being dropped from record labels for much of her early career. Finally, her songs captured the attention of Virgin Records CEO Jason Flom, who was the head of Capitol Music Group. Katy Perry was signed to Capitol Music in the spring of 2007. She was named Blender’s “Next Big Thing” in October 2004 and Teen People’s “One to Watch”.

Her songs appeared on MTV’s series The Hills (“Self-Inflicted” and “Thinking of You”) , on Oxygen Network’s reality series Girls (“Fingerprints” – theme song), on the 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (“Simple”), and on the 2008 film Baby Mama (“Fingerprints”). She was also featured on P.O.D.’s 2006 single “Goodbye for Now”.

As an actress, she made a cameo appearance on Carbon Leaf’s video “Learn to Fly” and on Gym Class Heroes’ video “Cupid’s Chokehold”. On March 10, 2008, she appeared as herself on ABC Family’s Wildfire (episode titled “Life’s Too Short”). She has appeared in advertisements for Too Faced Cosmetics’ Spring 2007 line. On June 12th Perry will appear as herself on the popular daytime soap opera Young & The Restless.

She recently has gained more recognition as Madonna mentioned her song “UR So Gay”, on 104.7 KISS FM’s JohnJay & Rich morning show in the Phoenix area, stating that “UR So Gay” was her “favorite song right now”, as well as another mention on Ryan Seacrest’s Morning Show. The song was produced by and co-written with Greg Wells #OneRepublic, Mika#.

On April 29, 2008, her first single from One of the Boys, “I Kissed a Girl”, debuted on iTunes. Katy Perry recently performed at the “Today” show performance on August 29, 2008.

“I Kissed a Girl” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at position 76. Its peak position as of June 5, 2008 was # 5 making it a smash hit. The music video for “I Kissed a Girl” was released on May 21, 2008 on MySpace. It has peaked on iTunes Top 100 at #1, on June 3, 2008 and then hit the Billboard Top 100 charts at #1 for four weeks running.

In January 2010, Katy inked a deal to endorse the skin care line Proactiv, following previous campaign models Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt. That same month, she got engaged to British actor/comedian Russell Brand.

In June 2010, Katy was named #1 on Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list. She was also #37 in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women of 2010.

Dannii Minogue is an Australian singer-songwriter, reality show judge, actress, model and fashion designer. Her musical career has declined in recent years, and that’s where she’s picked up live television appearances. She’s perhaps best known to Americans for being the little sister of international pop sensation Kylie Minogue. What’s nice, is that she’s equally as hot has Kylie, and a few years younger.

Dannii was born in Melbourne, Australia to an accountant father, Ron, and a dancer mother, Carol Jones. She’s the youngest of three children. Her sister Kylie, in the international pop star, and she has a brother, Brendan, who works as a news cameraman in Australia. Poor Brendan, being dwarfed by the entertainment success of his two mega-talented sisters. Yeowch.

Dannii’s career began on Australian soap operas in the late 1970s. In 1979, she became a regular performer on Young Talent Time, a weekly music program. Her first solo recording was covering Madonna’s hit, “Material Girl.” Dannii toured with her pop act, but moved away from music in the ‘80s to pursue acting. In 1988 she landed a spot on the popular soap opera, Home and Away. That same year, she also released her own line of clothing entitled simply Dannii. Dannii had become interested in fashion while a pop star, and had designed many of her own outfits. In 1990, Dannii went back into music, and released her first album, Dannii. It became a top ten hit in Europe and reached number 24 in Australia, and was certified gold.

Dannii released several more albums during the 1990s, and starred in several films and stage productions. Currently, she’s hosting the shows Australia’s Got Talent and The X Factor, and has just released a greatest hits collection. Dannii has stated that it’s nice being a reality show host, because for once she’s not being compared to her sister Kylie. Dannii, we wish you didn’t have to stoop as low as becoming an Australia version of Ryan Seacrest to avoid comparisons to your sister. Couldn’t you work in a bank, or something?
